Jan Whiffin

Owner & in house trainer

 Jan is an accomplished City and Guilds qualified trainer and NVQ assessor with extensive experience in the catering industry, where she has spent many years delivering training in both craft and systems skills. Alongside her husband Dave, Jan shares her life with a Springer Spaniel and 4 Clumber Spaniels. One of their dogs, Stiegl has been at stud & is a three-time Crufts qualifier.  Jan also runs Paw-works, a service based in South Cambridgeshire that offers small mammal microchipping and pregnancy ultrasound. She holds a diploma in canine health and nutrition and is a certified canine first-aid trainer. In addition to working her spaniels, Jan has explored a variety of dog sports including agility, flyball, and scentwork

An award-winning Canine First Aid Trainer, Catherine delivers our first aid course in venues throughout Scotland, as well as offering hosting opportunities as either a revenue stream or a fundraiser for good causes. Passionate about empowering others to act when a dog in their care needs help before reaching a veterinary professional, Catherine’s training has changed outcomes and saved lives. Her mantra, Learning Canine First Aid Saves Lives, reflects a commitment to making these skills accessible to everyone around dogs—professionals, pawrents, and dog-friendly businesses alike.

Dawn is a Homeopath, Nutritionist, Naturopath, Reiki and Meditation Teacher, Biofeedback Practitioner and Neuropdevelopment Practitioner. Jo Prentice

Jo has owned dogs since 1988 and has bred Canadian champions and Crufts qualifiers. Over the years, she has supported and advised many people through the process of breeding, whelping, and raising puppies. Her experience also includes rescue work with bull breeds and English Springer Spaniels. Jo has a wealth of hands-on knowledge in breeding and rearing terriers, gundogs, and pedigree cats. She currently shares her life with three Clumber Spaniels, including Stiegl’s mother and half-brother. Having seen both the best and worst of breeding practices, Jo is now focused on helping others avoid the mistakes she has encountered. She is also trained in pet pregnancy ultrasound and canine first aid.
